Welcome to the Cross Bar Ranch ATV/Motorcycle Off - Road Area, the newest off-road riding experience in the West. The ranch offers recreation for motorcyclists, 4-wheelers, picnickers, and campers in the Arbuckle Mountains area just off of I-35 midway between Oklahoma City and the Dallas/Ft. Worth.

The riding area offers diverse terrain featuring cedar covered hills, hardwood slopes and valleys and crystal clear creeks and springs. The elevation changes range for gentle slopes to extreme changes of 500 feet or more.

The Ranch

The area on the ranch designated for ATV/Motorcycle activities consists of 6,500 acres. The Cross Bar Ranch currently offers the largest acreage dedicated entirely to ATV/Motorcycle riding in the state of Oklahoma. Consult the Map Page to view the existing riding area.

The land currently has an abundance of ATV trails, feed roads and seismograph easements that offer several miles of off-road enjoyment. Trail development and construction is currently in place so additional trail opportunities are just around the corner. Plans are to have 100-miles of trail in place by 2007.

The trails are very durable and not heavily affected by rain. The trail surface consists of clay soils and rock, providing an all weather surface which is affected little by erosion.
Only ATVs and motorcycles are allowed in the riding area. No four wheel drive vehicles are permitted in the riding area.

Camping

Visitors to the ranch are welcome to camp overnight. There is a $12.50 per night charge for camping.  All camping is primitive and in a wilderness setting. RV's are welcome and the staff will do what is needed to accommodate your needs.
Also note that the park currently does have one RV electrical hook up available on a first come/first serve basis. Costs for the hook up is $15 per night.
Don’t worry if you forget anything, the City of Davis is only 8 miles away and has anything that you might need to enjoy a night of camping.
Future plans are for 35 RV campsites and over 70 improved primitive campsites located in the ATV/Motorcycle riding area.

Special Events
Future plans are for special events to be held in conjunction with the Cross Bar Ranch Off-Road Riding Area. Refer back to the calendar of events on this website for any future special events.
The ranch is closed to the public during the Oklahoma Deer Firearms season. This is traditionally the third week in October and the sixteen day period beginning the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. No public access to the ranch will be permitted during these times.

Registration,  Fees and Special Conditions
There is no additional charge to use the Cross Bar Ranch Off-Road area other than the regular ranch admission. The current admission costs are $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for youth 12 and under.

All riders are required to have in their possession a Cross Bar Ranch ATV/OHV Activity Card prior to participating in any off-road activity. Liability release forms are required and will be available when paying
admission. Once the form is completed the visitor will receive their activity card.

All riders on the ranch must wear helmets and boots, no exceptions. Also no children below the allowed age of the vehicle in question are permitted to ride any off-road vehicle on the ranch. To determine the age restrictions of an ATV, consult your owner’s manual or contact your nearest ATV dealer.

Resource Management

Resource Management is a priority at the Cross Bar Ranch. Effective resource management requires: proper trail layout and design; monitoring wildlife habitat; implementing erosion control measures; maintaining roads and trails; and protecting riparian areas, among other things. Please help us be good stewards of the land by staying on the trails and riding responsibly!

We welcome you treating the land as your own. Please report any misuse of the property to the ranch employees. By protecting the resource you do your part in insuring many years of off-road riding enjoyment in the beautiful Arbuckle Mountains.
